Bokyung Go
Postdoctoral Fellow
Bokyung Go is a Postdoctoral Fellow at GRAIL and a researcher at Seoul National University, where she received her PhD in Educational Technology. Her work examines AI ethics and governance in K-12 education, including teacher AI competency and Korea's national rollout of AI digital textbooks. At GRAIL she studies how schools and education systems build governance structures and ethical mechanisms for AI-integrated learning.
About Bokyung
Bokyung’s research sits between educational technology and AI governance. Her dissertation developed a framework for teacher AI ethics competency, and her recent work follows Korea’s national introduction of AI digital textbooks, tracing how decisions made at the ministry level reshape everyday classroom practice. She approaches these questions from an ecological perspective, looking at how teachers, schools, government, and technology vendors shape one another rather than examining any one of them in isolation.
She joined GRAIL in September 2026 as a postdoctoral fellow funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea’s Global Research Fellowship. Before coming to Purdue she was a researcher at Seoul National University, a research professor at Inha University’s Center for Teaching and Learning, and a lecturer at Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. She also works with teachers directly as a Google Certified Trainer. Her methods span survey and interview research, learning analytics, and comparative policy analysis.
