Jacob Montgomery is Professor of Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis, where he develops advanced statistical and machine learning methods and applies them to the study of political communication, public opinion, and the societal implications of new technologies. His research appears in leading social science journals (PNAS, APSR, AJPS, Political Analysis) and premier AI/ML venues (NeurIPS, FAccT, AIStats, AMC IMC). He is the author of more than 40 peer-reviewed articles and conference papers, a recipient of the Warren Miller Prize for best paper in Political Analysis and the Emerging Scholar Award from the Society for Political Methodology, and has secured over $1.2 million in external funding from the National Science Foundation and private foundations
