Quynh-Anh Nguyen

Quynh-Anh is a PhD candidate in the Political Science Department at Purdue University, specializing in international political economy, with an emphasis on non-state actors. Her research uses a multi-method approach to investigate how non-state actors acquire, exercise, and legitimate political power. Her current work examines how extreme private wealth translates into political influence through tech oligarchs, philanthropic foundations, and the political leverage that comes with building critical infrastructure such as data centers. In addition, a related strand of her research assesses how international organizations enact and sustain authority through public events, visual practices, and emerging technologies, including AI-generated art.
